I reached Level 39 on Saturday and even though I felt so grateful for all the family around me (we visited Cathedral Caverns 👉🏽swipe for pics), I couldn’t help but think of you. I miss your face. On the creative journey, nothing is wasted. Even i On the creative journey, nothing is wasted. Even if we abandon a project, leave behind an idea, or an event in our life happens to take something from us. All of the learning, expansion, and insight we received from that experience are still our to claim. Awakened Creators will look a lot different going forward, but we will always be a community of love and support for each other. This video is an honest explanation of my motives for leaving what I had built behind, and shifting my focus to embodying the life of an Awakened creator. I also share my ideas for working together in the future and open the dialogue for you to share your ideas and vision for what Awakened Creators can become next. It was early Spring 2021 when I drove my husband o It was early Spring 2021 when I drove my husband out to a hiking trip in Southern Utah. Despite the snow levels at the higher elevations, I insisted on reaching this particular trailhead. I drove past a ‘road closed’ sign. Defiant. As the car climbed, the roads got thicker and more covered in snow. I kept driving. Eventually, our rental Camry got stuck on its belly in the thick snow, tires spinning in the ice. My patient husband got in front of the car and pushed it, sliding us backwards across the snow, until our wheels gained traction again. I don’t know what I was thinking. I probably wasn’t. My mother was just put on hospice. In that moment, part of me refused to just “give up”. Desperate. Stubborn. Insistent on accomplishing what I want. Admirable in some ways. Sure. But just because we can do something, doesn’t mean we should. 😓Sometimes you get halfway down the road and realize it’s not the right path for you. That is what has happened with Awakened Creators. Despite my stubborn insistence on it working, the current road I’ve been traveling on is not the path for me. Even though I was so enthusiastically promoting the Portal just days ago…something inside me said NO the instant someone wanted to sign up. It was a huge wake up call for me. I was ignoring something important. 😢I was putting Awakened Creators before my art, my heART. Before me. So here I am, standing in snow, pushing Awakened Creators back so I can redirect. 👉I’ll be LIVE next Wednesday to share where I've been going wrong and what is happening next. Those of you who wanted to join the portal. I’m sorry. But I promise what is coming next will be far more inspiring and useful.
